Reaction to the shooting
The Democratic senator from Georgia, Raphael Warnock, told his fellow senators in a passionate speech on Thursday that his own kids had been placed on lockdown earlier this afternoon. "This is banging on all of our doors, and I can actually feel it this afternoon. My own two children were placed on lockdown this afternoon, so I can feel it in my bones, added Warnock.

Democratic Georgia senator Raphael Warnock also addressed the issue in a Senate speech, expressing his shock, sorrow, and anger over the incident.
